The artist writes: "Sometimes, being an adolescent within a hectic, high school environment is very difficult. The pressure to conform to different standards, the stifling responsibilities and the desire to emulate others can be very overwhelming . . . and we often lose our sense of identity and dignity in the process of finding ourselves."
