The leaves have already fallen,
just like I have for you.
Trees in their most bare figure,
just like I was with you.
Now the snow is slowly falling,
creating a barrier of distance in my heart.
You carelessly stomp all over the snow,
creating a hollowness that breaks us apart.
All that’s left now with me is me,
along with the shattered, cold ornaments left outside.
The hopes of a cozy Christmas
have been sabotaged because of your useless pride.
