Spring is the Cradle of Opportunity

Lying down,
I feel blades of grass against my skin,
Swishing,
Swaying in the wind,
As the warm, friendly rays of sunlight
Puncture the canopy of
Lush green above,
And rest upon my body.
The scent of Spring hangs in the air
And the melodic, harmonious chirp of birds
Fills the blue sky,
Lulls me into a soft slumber.
My gaze rests dreamily on the
Outstretched arms of the trees above,
Like young ambition
Desperately reaching for
The infinite opportunities
The bright Spring sun
Has shined light upon.
