I dream
That the snow
will fall this winter. That
the winter flakes will settle
as the children run and build
snowmen, shouting,
screaming, and being
showmen.

I dream
As presents get laid
by the tree, as the cookies
and milk go, the star on the tree will
surely glow, glimmering though the falling
snow, showing memories of long ago.
The dreams will come like falling
snow. As Santa Claus goes
HO HO HO.

that as we open
calendars, and as the chocolate
gets revealed, the children collect their
presents and all their Christmas yield. I dream
that it will snow this year, that Santa will
come with his deer. I dream that what I dream
comes true. I dream that this winter will
be the best time of the year
for me and you.
