A Fall Is Also a Rise

Now and ThenPoetry

Fall —
A season that invites change,
Where the green changes into a rust orange,
To transform into a new you,
Fall isn’t about a season of blue,

It means letting go,
For something new to sow,
As the first leaf falls from its tree,
Telling me that it’s time to be free,

The crisp sound of its crunch,
Halloween, Diwali, Thanksgiving lunch
In anticipation of the harsher season,
Fall definitely comes for a reason,

The time to harvest,
With relaxation and rest,
Family time together,
There are no words for this serene weather,

Fall is known as the time between summer and winter,
Autumn’s shades as if done by a painter,
Bid your melancholy goodbyes,
Because a fall is also a rise.
