The white blank surface of the snow

Mimicking my thoughts

The silence of the cold fell over me like a blind

There was no sound except for the howling of the wind

Sending chills down my spine

My heart crystallizing from the fear that filled my body

Winter had returned!

Dimitriy Uvchenko is a 16-year-old who lives in Kiev, Ukraine with his mum, brother, a cat named Zefitka, and a big parrot named Gosha. When he has free time, he likes to take photos, fix electrical appliances, ride scooters, and learn English.
