Yesterday’s storm,
Harsh, but a silent drum.
Midnight in the chatroom,
Virally, words spread.
Shut lips, moving fingers,
Those operating devices.
In dark and unseen places,
Where untouchable factory generates
Hashtags, titles, jokes…
“Never the insults.”
Devices are innocent,
Keyboards are innocent,
Fingers are innocent.
But who took their lives?
Finally, oh finally
One device sends a note,
The screen flickered, silently.
Red dot after red dot,
Words spread, virally.
Moving lips, pointing fingers,
Those ongoing lectures.
In bright and conspicuous places,
Where the survivor awaits
Hashtags, apologies, comfort…
“Justice will come.”
But
Look up to Heaven,
They can never hear the
Late apologies.
So
Who will be judged?
Who will be praised?
Who will decide?
